Lip Filler Cost
in St. George, Utah
Honest, transparent pricing — what you pay, what you get, and what red flags to watch for. By Janessa Kraupp-Sampson, MSN, FNP-BC, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Aera Lip Filler Pricing
Per Syringe (1 mL)
$600–$900
Brand-name Restylane or Juvederm HA filler. Includes consultation, numbing, the procedure, and 2-week touch-up.
Final price within that range depends on which product Janessa recommends for your goals. Restylane Kysse runs at the higher end; Restylane Refyne and Juvederm Volbella are mid-range. Per-half-syringe and partial-fill options are available for clients with very specific micro-goals.
What Drives Price Differences
1. Product itself
Brand-name HA filler from Allergan or Galderma costs the clinic $250–$400 per syringe before any markup. Generics or non-FDA-approved products cost less but carry higher risk of inflammation and lumps.
2. Provider credentials
Lip filler can legally be administered by RNs in some states under MD supervision. The skill ceiling is much higher for FNPs, PAs, MDs, and DOs. Going to the wrong tier of provider for a budget price is the single biggest reason people end up needing dissolution and a redo.
3. Whether the syringe is split
Some clinics split syringes across multiple patients to lower per-patient cost. This is a safety risk (cross-contamination potential) and a violation of FDA single-use guidance. Reputable providers don't do this.
4. What's included
Aera's price includes consultation, numbing, the procedure, and a 2-week follow-up touch-up if needed. Some clinics charge separately for some or all of these.
Red Flags to Watch For
- ⚠Pricing significantly below $500/syringe — math doesn't work for legitimate brand-name filler
- ⚠Provider can't tell you which product they're using or it's a brand you can't find online
- ⚠"Buy one syringe get one free" — usually means the syringe is being split
- ⚠Injector won't show their license or supervising physician
- ⚠Heavy pressure to add more product mid-session
- ⚠No clear plan for dissolving or correcting if something looks wrong

At Aera Medical Aesthetics, lip filler pricing typically runs $600–$900 per syringe, depending on the product (Restylane Kysse, Restylane Refyne, Juvederm Volbella, etc.). Most patients use one syringe for an initial appointment and add to it over subsequent visits as desired. Janessa Kraupp-Sampson, MSN, FNP-BC will quote the exact price after assessing your goals.
Most first-time patients need exactly one syringe (1mL) for natural enhancement. If you have very thin lips or want significant volume, two syringes spread over two appointments works better than one large session. Going over 2mL at once tends to look overdone and risks compromising natural lip shape.
Lip filler pricing below ~$500 per syringe usually reflects one of three things: (1) the product is generic or expired, (2) the injector is inexperienced (often a non-nurse, non-PA, non-MD), or (3) the syringe is being split between patients (a safety violation). Brand-name HA filler from Allergan or Galderma costs the clinic itself $250–$400 per syringe — you can do the math on what's left for skill and overhead at $499.
Most modern HA lip fillers last 9–12 months in the lips, sometimes longer in patients with slower metabolism. Lighter products like Volbella tend to dissolve faster (6–9 months); thicker products like Restylane Kysse last closer to 12 months. The lips metabolize filler faster than other facial areas because of constant movement.
At Aera, the syringe price includes consultation, the procedure, numbing cream, and any minor touch-ups within 2 weeks of your appointment. There are no surprise add-on fees. Some clinics charge separately for consultation or topical anesthetic — make sure you know what's included before booking.
No — cosmetic lip filler is never covered by health insurance. Some clinics offer financing through CareCredit or Cherry, which can spread the cost over 6–12 months. Aera offers payment options; call (435) 319-4064 for current details.
Per syringe, Restylane and Juvederm products are typically priced within $50–$100 of each other. The decision is rarely about cost — it's about which product fits your lip anatomy and goals. Janessa stocks multiple options so she can pick the right tool rather than the only one available.
