Learn directly from Janessa — for the full 90 days
Janessa Kraupp-Sampson, MSN, FNP-BC is the founder of Aera Medical Aesthetics, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and was featured in Vogue’s June/July 2024 issue. She built this program around how she wishes she had been trained: slowly, hands-on, with an experienced injector watching every injection until it’s right.
- Direct mentor access for all 90 days — not just class time
- Supervised injecting on real patients, inside a working med spa
- Botox, filler, and thread techniques from foundation to advanced
- Small cohorts, by design — every hands-on seat is supervised individually
How the Program Works
Most injector “certifications” are a weekend: a lecture hall, one practice model, a paper certificate, and a handshake. Then you’re alone with your first real patient. Aera’s Advanced Injectables Training Program takes the opposite approach — 90 days of structured mentorship that moves at the pace real skill develops.
Theory comes first through self-paced video modules: facial anatomy, danger zones, product science, dosing, and treatment planning. Then the part no video can replace — supervised, hands-on injection sessions with real patients at the St. George clinic, repeated and progressed over the full program. Between sessions, you have direct access to your mentor for questions, case reviews, and feedback.

Frequently Asked Questions
The program is built for licensed medical professionals who can legally inject under Utah scope-of-practice rules — registered nurses (RNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), and physician assistants (PAs). You don't need any prior aesthetics experience; the mentorship starts from foundational facial anatomy and builds to advanced techniques. If you're unsure whether your license qualifies, that's exactly what the free consultation is for.
Most injector courses compress everything into a weekend: a lecture, a few practice injections on one model, and a certificate. Aera's program runs 90 days — self-paced video modules for the theory, then repeated hands-on sessions with real patients under direct supervision, plus ongoing access to your mentor for questions between sessions. The goal isn't a certificate; it's actual competence and the confidence to inject independently.
Program investment is discussed at the free consultation, where Janessa also assesses your goals, license type, and timeline. Spots are limited per cohort because the hands-on patient sessions are supervised individually — which is also why the program isn't priced or sold like a mass-enrollment online course.
Yes — supervised, hands-on injecting on real patients and models is the core of the program, and it ramps up as your skills progress through the 90 days. By completion you'll have worked through neurotoxin and filler treatments under direct mentorship rather than watching demonstrations.
Neurotoxins (Botox and Dysport — dosing, mapping, and injection patterns), dermal fillers (lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, under-eye), thread lifts, facial anatomy and danger zones, complication prevention and management, patient assessment and treatment planning, and the practical realities of working in or launching an aesthetics practice.
Yes, within reason. The theory portion is self-paced video, so only the hands-on patient sessions require being in St. George. Nurses commute from Cedar City, Mesquite, and the Las Vegas area. If you're further out, ask about session scheduling at the consultation — sessions can often be clustered to reduce trips.
Janessa Kraupp-Sampson, MSN, FNP-BC — founder of Aera Medical Aesthetics, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, featured in Vogue (June/July 2024). She has trained and mentored nurses entering aesthetics and remains directly accessible to students throughout the 90 days, not just during scheduled sessions.
You leave with documented supervised injection experience, a portfolio of supervised treatments, and the technique foundation to practice within your license's scope. Many graduates join existing med spas; others build toward opening their own practice. The mentorship includes honest guidance on both paths.
